Courier service is provided by Prompt Courier.Courier service is available Mon-Fri between campus locations in Key West, Marathon (Middle Keys Center) and Tavernier (Upper Keys Center).The service is to be used for small packages and mail only.
Next Day Service
Federal Express and UPS both provide reliable and efficient service.
Use the FedEx U.S. Airbill for all FedEx Express shipments within the U.S. FedEX Airbills are available in the mailroom or by contacting Purchasing on ext 222.
The following instructions will guide you in filling out a FedEx Airbill.
- After completing the airbill contact FedEx at 1-800-463-3339 to schedule the pickup.
- Save the top white copy of the airbill for your records. Packages scheduled for pickup must be delivered immediately to the Shipping and Receiving Dept. You may also call ext 240 for assistance.
- To track your shipment go to www.fedex.com and enter the tracking number from your airbill.
- Sender Information
Enter your shipping information. This includes the address you are shipping from, your name, your phone number, and your FedEx account number. FKCC FedEx Account Number 1155-3316-9 is preprinted on all airbills.
- Internal Billing Reference
You must enter your Org Code and GL Account for billing reference. This information will appear on the invoice for payment processing. No shipment will be released without this information..
- Recipient Information
Fill in the details for your shipping destination. This includes recipient name, address, and phone number. FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. boxes or to P.O. Box ZIP codes in the U.S. , including U.S. military P.O. Box addresses such as APO and FPO.
Indicate which service you are using.If no service is marked, we will send your shipment via FedEx Priority Overnight.
Indicate the packaging you are using, or mark "other" if you are using your own packaging.
- Special Handling
Mark "Yes" or "No" to indicate whether your shipment contains dangerous goods. If yes, include three copies of a Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods.
Bill To: If billing to sender, recipient or third party, include the payer's FedEx account number. FKCC will be direct billed as “sender” for FedEx services unless otherwise indicated on the airbill. Credit Card: If paying by credit card, write the credit card number and expiration date. FedEx accepts American Express, Carte Blanche, Diners Club, Discover Card, MasterCard, Optima and VISA.

What is the difference between FedEx Express and FedEx Ground?
FedEx Express lets you choose from several different services so you can pick the delivery time that fits your degree of urgency. FedEx Ground service is a cost-effective solution for routine shipments that don't need the speed of express shipping. Yes! Specifically, you can request a refund or credit of your transportation charges if your FedEx Ground shipments within the continental US don't arrive by the end of the scheduled delivery day, as published on this web site.
What is your fastest service?
It's FedEx SameDay, which is available for urgent or emergency shipments 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It includes courier pickup, proactive tracking and delivery notification and can be requested by calling 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 . The international counterpart is FedEx International Next Flight., which can be requested by calling 1.800.974.7333 .
What are my choices for overnight delivery?
Recognizing your deadlines can vary day to day, FedEx provides three delivery choices: FedEx First Overnight by 8 am, FedEx Priority Overnight by 10:30 am, and FedEx Standard Overnight by 3 pm. The latter is a cost-effective choice if you can wait for afternoon delivery.
What's the difference between using the FedEx Express 2-day and 3-day services and using FedEx Ground?
You would choose the FedEx Express services (FedEx 2-Day and our 3-day FedEx Express Saver) when you need to count on delivery on a specific day and by a specific time of day, no matter where in the country you are shipping to. FedEx Ground service delivery times are based on distance. It could take your ground shipment one day or five days to reach its destination (longer if it's Alaska or Hawaii ), depending on where your recipient is located. Choose FedEx Ground when you want reliable delivery but timing is not as critical.
Does FedEx offer weekend delivery?
Yes. Saturday delivery is available with FedEx Priority Overnight (tender your shipment on a Friday) and FedEx 2-Day (tender your shipment on a Thursday) in the majority of US cities. I already have a FedEx Express account number. Can I use that for both FedEx Express and FedEx Ground?
Yes. Your FedEx Express account number can be used for both FedEx Express and FedEx Ground shipping. If you do not currently ship packages with FedEx Ground, you may request FedEx Ground Service by filling out a registration form or you can call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339 . (There are certain requirements for FedEx Ground shipping. If you ship an average of five FedEx Ground packages per day, you can call us to arrange for a regular pick-up. If you do not meet this volume requirement, you may take your FedEx Ground packages to FedEx World Service Centers or participating FedEx Authorized ShipCenters.
UPS – United Parcel Service
Bring all UPS packages to the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse before 2:00 pm. You may call ext. 235 or 240 for assistance with packages.UPS has a 150 pound maximum weight per piece. FKCC uses UPS Worldship for all shipments. No airbill is required to be completed. Please make sure all packages for UPS delivery are labeled properly (name, address, zip code, phone number, etc.) before contacting Shipping and Receiving. - UPS and FEDEX automatically protects every shipment against loss or damage up to a value of US$100.00.
- With Declared Value, you can request additional protection up to US$50,000.00 per package.

For UPS Shipments:
Cost $1.50 / $101.00 to $300.00
Cost $.50 per $100.00 for anything declared over $300.00
For FedEx Shipments:
Cost $.50 / $100.00
Minimum charge per package of $1.50
Documents or checks should be placed in a separate addressed envelope and then place in the UPS or FEDEX shipping envelope.
This will assure delivery in the event the contents are separated from the shipping envelope.
Commonly Asked Questions
Exactly when will my package be delivered?
UPS Ground packages are delivered to residential addresses Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and to business addresses during their normal business hours Monday through Friday. UPS Ground packages cannot be scheduled to arrive at a specific time of day. UPS express shipments have guaranteed delivery times that vary by service. Track your package for an up-to-date status.
I've been tracking my package, but it's not moving. Why?
Package movement information is captured each time a tracking label is scanned in the UPS delivery system. When your package is in transit, or over a weekend, tracking information may not be updated. Here are explanations for common scans you might see when tracking your package:
Billing Information Received: UPS has received the electronic transmission of package detail from the shipper. It does not necessarily mean that UPS has taken possession of the package.
Origin: The package has been received at the originating UPS location.
Departure: The package has left the originating location and is on its way toward the destination address.
Arrival: The package has arrived at an intermediate UPS facility or the destination facility closest to the delivery address.
Out for Delivery: The package has been placed in the final delivery vehicle.
Delivery: The package has been delivered. The date and time of delivery have been recorded.
Exception: If the package could not be delivered or was delayed, the reason has been noted.
Why wasn't my package delivered in three days, as indicated?
"Three days" means three business days. Please note that the UPS Service Guarantee applies only to business days, and excludes weekends, holidays, and other events that may occur.
How much does it cost to ship a package?
