Registration Overview
Registering at Florida Keys Community College is easy!
Simply follow the steps below to register for courses at FKCC. If you have any questions or problems along the way check out our online video tutorials or, for more assistance, contact Academic Advising at (305) 809-3196
Are you a Returning Student?
Students returning to FKCC after a two-year period of inactivity will be required to submit an updated application for admission before registering for classes. This includes updating residency information and providing documentation of residency.
1. Review registration dates
SUMMER TERM IIIA 2009-10
- March 15, 2010-Registration begins.
- April 30, 2010-Tuition and fees due.
- May 10, 2010-Classes begin.
- May 17, 2010-Last day to change courses for Term IIIA; last day to withdraw and receive 100% refund; last day to add courses for Term IIIA.
- May 31, 2010-Memorial Day (college closed).
- June 1, 2010-Last day to apply for graduation at the end of Term IIIA.*
- June 7, 2010-Last day to withdraw from class with a grade of "W". Last day to change registration status to audit.
- Examinations as arranged for each course in the final week of classes.
- June 18, 2010-Classes end.
- June 22, 2010-Final grades due, 12noon.
*Students who will complete graduation requirements during the summer term may participate in the commencement ceremony in May. Application for graduation must be made by the Term II (February) deadline.
SUMMER TERM IIIB 2009-10
- March 15, 2010-Registration begins.
- April 30, 2010-Tuition and fees due.
- June 21, 2010-Classes begin.
- June 28, 2010-Last day to change courses for Term IIIB;last day to withdraw and receive 100% refund; last day to add courses for Term IIIB.
- July 5, 2010-Independence Day (college closed).
- July 9, 2010-Last day to apply for graduation for Term IIIB.*
- July 19, 2010-Last day to withdraw from classes and receive a "W." Last day to change registration status to audit.
- Examinations as arranged for each course in the final week of classes.
- July 30, 2010-Classes end.
- August 3, 2009-Final grades due, 12noon.

SUMMER TERM IIIC 2008-09

TERM I FALL 2010-11
- March 20, 2010-Web registration begins.
- April 5, 2010-Registration by appointment begins.
- June 12, 2010-Fees are assessed.
- August 9, 2010-Tuition and fees due.
- August 23, 2010-Classes begin.
- August 30, 2010-Last day to change courses for Term I; last day to withdraw and receive 100% refund.
- September 3, 2010-Faculty/Staff Planning Day (no classes).
- September 6, 2010-Labor Day (college closed).
- October 1, 2010-Conference Day (no classes).
- October 22, 2010-Last day to apply for graduation at the end of Term I.*
- October 29-Last day to withdraw from class with a grade of "W". Last day to change registration status to audit.
- November 11, 2010-Veteran's Day (college closed).
- November 24-28, 2010-Thanksgiving Holiday (college closed).
- December 11, 2010-Classes end.
- December 15, 2010-Final grades due, 12noon.
- December 18, 2010-January 2, 2011-Winter Break (college closed).

TERM II SPRING 2009-10
- October 26, 2009-Registration begins.
- December 18, 2010-Tuition and fees due.
- January 6, 2010-Classes begin.
- January 13, 2010-Last day to change courses for Term II; last day to withdraw and receive 100% refund.
- January 18, 2010-Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (college closed).
- February 15, 2010-President's Day (college closed).
- February 24, 2010-FKCC Conference Day (no classes).
- February 26, 2010-Last day to apply for graduation at the end of Term II.*
- March 24-Last day to withdraw from class with a grade of "W". Last day to change registration status to audit.
- March 29-April 2, 2010-Spring Break (college closed). Students in the Middle and Upper Keys Centers should check with their respective offices to verify the dates of their Spring Break.
- Examinations as arranged for each course in the final two weeks of classes.
- May 3, 2010-Classes end.
- May 5, 2010-Final grades due, 12noon.
- May 7, 2010-Commencement

2. Review registration times and locations
Registration for college credit courses takes place in person at any of our campuses.
Registration hours for the main campus are:
Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Wednesdays 8:00am-7:00pm
Marathon and Coral Shores office hours:
Middle Keys Center:
Monday through Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm and 6:00pm-7:00pm
Friday 9:00am-12:30pm and 6:00pm-7:00pm
Upper Keys Center:
Monday through Thursday 8:30am-7:00pm
Friday 8:30am-2:00pm
Registration for courses offered through the Office of Continuing Education (Non-credit) can be made via the phone if you are paying for your courses with a credit card. (If you are auditing a credit course, this must be done in person or online). Call the Continuing Education Office at (305) 809-3185 to register for non-credit continuing education courses. If you want to register for continuing education courses offered through our Middle Keys Campus call (305) 743-2133 or (305) 809-3185. If you want to register for continuing education courses offered through our Upper Keys Campus call (305) 852-8007 or (305) 809-3185.

Fall Term begins August 24, 2009 and ends December 16, 2009
Spring Term begins January 6, 2010 and ends May 3, 2010
Summer Term 3A begins May 10, 2010 and ends June 18, 2010
Summer Term 3B begins June 21, 2010 and ends July 30, 2010
Summer Term 3C begins May 10, 2010 and ends July 30, 2010

The Credit Level, Real-Time Class Schedule represents the most current schedule information. Classes, dates, and times are subject to change; courses may be added or deleted. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for important dates.

4. Download and print registration request forms: Credit Form or Non-credit Form.
5. Print an unofficial copy of your transcript for advisement purposes through FKCC Online Services.
6. Contact your Advisor before you register for classes.
7. Contact the Advising Services Office for assistance choosing the right classes.
8. View the video tutorials for how to register for classes online.
9. REGISTER ONLINE or in person.
10. Fee information, call the Business Office at (305)896-3186.
11. To pay fees, click here to FKCC Online Services, Enter Secure Area, logon, go to Student Information, Student Records, View Account Summary by Term.
12. Buy books: Visit http://www.universitybooksonline.com/index.cfm to order online and have your books shipped to you.
