Continuing Education Overview
Welcome to the Florida Keys Community College Office of Community Education, Workforce and Testing!
The Office of Community Education, Workforce and Testing offers a wide range of non-credit classes and seminars designed to help you fulfill your potential—both personally and professionally. You’re invited to take up a new hobby, explore your artistic side, or get in better shape through FKCC’s many recreational, leisure, and physical fitness opportunities. A variety of classes are also offered for professional growth to prepare, update, or refine employment skills.
Classes are scheduled on both weekdays and weekends. Additionally, you can learn conveniently from home through online courses. FKCC can also develop non-credit training programs to meet the specific needs of business, industry and/or government organizations, and may be held at any location in Monroe County. We are also a designated test center for the following testing providers: Pearson Vue, My Florida Ready to Work, and DSST .
The DSST credit by exam program gives students the opportunity to receive college credit for life experience as a form of prior learning assessment. Recommended for credit by the American Council on Education, the 38 exams are offered in diverse subject areas such as health, ethics, finance and technology. The DSST program is owned by Prometric, the global leader in testing and assessment, and has been placing students on the fast track to college degrees since 1986.
