The Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) at Florida Keys Community College offers a competency based Teacher Preparation Program.
This unique 21 credit program will give you the knowledge and tools to obtain the Florida Professional Teaching Certificate.
The EPI Teacher Preparation program is a competency based program designed for career changers who would like to become a certified teacher in Florida.
Be ready for the classroom in a year! Courses are offered in a hybrid (classroom & on-line) format, combining evening and saturday instruction and distance learning. Our flexible schedule is designed to meet the needs of full time working professionals throughout Monroe County.
Please note that FKCC offers the EPI program based on local need. For the 2010-2011 fiscal year, FKCC will halt program offerings. The next availalbe cohort is projected to begin August 2011.
